A TrainHeroic alternative built around the training block
Both tools deliver programs to athletes on a phone. They differ on how the program is written, how coaches are charged, and how much else is in the box.

The short answer
TrainHeroic is a mature performance-coaching platform with teams, a marketplace, community features, chat, and established video review. Cleanpull is a narrower tool for writing percentage-based barbell blocks and reviewing what comes back.
TrainHeroic's marketplace, community features, and established video tools suit coaches who use the broader platform. Cleanpull covers the simpler workflow of writing a block, delivering it, and reviewing the results.

How the pricing compares
TrainHeroic prices by athlete count in bands, from $9.99/month for one athlete up to $399.99/month for a thousand, and bills assistant coaches separately at $9.99/month each. Cleanpull prices by workspace capacity, and every member counts against it — coaches and athletes alike — while the workspace owner does not.
That produces different answers at different shapes of roster:
| Setup | Cleanpull | TrainHeroic |
|---|---|---|
| Solo coach, 3 athletes | $0 (free tier) | $17.99/mo (up to 5) |
| Solo coach, 25 athletes | $15/mo (Pro, 26 of 30 slots) | $44.99/mo (up to 25) |
| Coach + 2 assistants, 25 athletes | $15/mo (28 of 30 slots) | $44.99 + $19.98 = $64.97/mo |
| Coach + 2 assistants, 60 athletes | $100/mo (Studio) | $99.99 + $19.98 = $119.97/mo |
Cleanpull costs less for the four rosters above and includes a smaller set of features. TrainHeroic's price also covers its marketplace, community features, and video library. Run the numbers for your own roster and billing period; the breakpoints change with athlete and assistant-coach counts.
Where TrainHeroic is the better choice
- You sell programs. The marketplace is a real distribution channel and Cleanpull has nothing equivalent.
- You want community features. Leaderboards and team feeds drive engagement for some groups.
- You need a demonstration library. Coaching general-population clients through unfamiliar movements is much easier with video attached to every exercise.
- Video review is central. TrainHeroic's is mature and attached to session comments. Cleanpull's clips arrive in the thread with the lift, which works, but there is no frame-by-frame analysis, angle overlay, or side-by-side comparison.
- Many coaches, few athletes. If assistants outnumber athletes, per-coach billing may beat a shared capacity limit.
Where Cleanpull fits better
- You write in percentages. One progression, each athlete's weights from their own maxes, and a changed max updates only that athlete.
- Loadable weights matter. Prescriptions round to the bar's available increment.
- You want a free tier that does not expire. Owner plus three members, indefinitely.
- Annual billing suits you. $150/year on Pro against monthly-only elsewhere.
- You prefer a focused workflow. Cleanpull keeps the product centered on writing blocks, delivering sessions, and reviewing results.
Things Cleanpull does not have
Cleanpull has no nutrition or habit coaching, client billing or scheduling, marketplace, leaderboards or community, large exercise-video library, AI program generation, or workspace ownership transfer yet.
