The short answer
TrueCoach is built for personal trainers with a mixed book of clients. It handles workouts, messaging, nutrition and habits, a large exercise-video library, payments, and integrations.
Cleanpull focuses on barbell programming and review. It fits coaches whose clients are mostly lifters running structured blocks. For a mixed general-population book, TrueCoach covers more of the day-to-day work.

Pricing shape
TrueCoach charges by active clients in three bands: $26.34/month up to 5, $57.99/month up to 20, and $136.99/month up to 50, with one to two months free on annual billing and special pricing above 50. Cleanpull charges by workspace capacity — the owner free, everyone else counted — at $0 up to 3 other members, $15/month up to 30, and $100/month up to 500.
At a roster of twenty, that is $57.99 against $15. TrueCoach's higher price includes nutrition, payments, integrations, and a video library. Coaches who rely on those features should include their value in the comparison.
The counting differs too. TrueCoach bills by active clients, so a paused client need not cost you. Cleanpull counts every workspace member, including assistant coaches, and a pending invitation holds a slot until it is accepted or revoked.
Where TrueCoach is the better choice
- Mixed clients. General-population training needs an exercise library with demonstrations, and Cleanpull does not have one.
- Nutrition and habits. If that is part of your service, it is not in Cleanpull at all.
- You bill through the platform. Cleanpull has no client payments, invoicing, or scheduling.
- Integrations matter. TrueCoach connects with wearables and third-party tools; Cleanpull currently has no integrations.
- Clients pause frequently. Active-client billing can work out cheaper for a book with a lot of churn.
Where Cleanpull fits better
- Percentage-based blocks. Each athlete's loads calculate automatically from their own maxes.
- A roster on one progression. Change the block once and everyone on it sees it; change one max and only that athlete moves.
- Loadable weights. Prescriptions round to the increment the bar can make.
- A free tier with no clock on it.
- Cost at a larger barbell roster. Capacity pricing scales differently from per-client bands, though whether it wins depends on your numbers.
Things Cleanpull does not have
No nutrition or habit coaching, no client payments, invoicing, or scheduling, no integrations, no large exercise-video library, no marketplace, no AI program generation, and no workspace ownership transfer yet. Those features cover a large share of a general personal trainer's work, so Cleanpull only makes sense here for barbell-focused coaching.
