Cleanpull
For online coaches

Online coaching software for barbell coaches

Keep the program, completed work, check-ins, and coaching conversation connected when coach and athlete train in different places.

Remote coaching needs a feedback loop

Sending a program is the beginning of online coaching. The useful part happens after the athlete trains: what they completed, how it felt, what the top set looked like, and what should change next week.

When the plan lives in a spreadsheet, the log in a workout app, and the video in a chat app, the coach has to rebuild that context before making a decision.

If you are designing that service from scratch, use the complete guide to coaching strength athletes online for intake, programming, logging, review, and adjustment.

From prescription to review

Deliver the work with the weights ready

Build a multi-week program with days, exercises, sets, reps, and progression schemes. Each athlete sees the prescribed workout on their phone with working weights calculated from their own target maxes.

Collect what actually happened

Athletes log their reps and weights, then finish with an effort, joint soreness, and enjoyment check-in. The completed workout stays attached to the program that produced it.

Work from one review queue

Finished workouts collect in one queue that shows who trained and which workouts still need your attention. Conversations waiting for a reply sit in the inbox beside it.

Reply with the workout open

Open a completed workout to inspect the logged sets, then continue into the private coach-athlete conversation. Photos and lift videos remain with the coaching conversation.

One account can hold both sides

Coaches who train can switch between Coach and Athlete modes without maintaining separate accounts. Athletes receive their program, log workouts, review progress, and message their coach from the same app.

Cleanpull also supports in-person and hybrid work. Athletes can log the prescribed workout in the gym and keep it in the same training history as the rest of their week.

Private communication around the work

Messaging is limited to coaches and athletes inside an invitation-only workspace. There is no public feed, client marketplace, random discovery, or messaging outside an existing coaching relationship.

For a workflow centered on the classic lifts, see remote weightlifting coaching software. Powerlifting coaches can see the three-lift workflow on the powerlifting coaching page.

The boundaries

Cleanpull handles barbell programs, workout logging, progress, review, and private feedback. It has no appointment calendar, client invoicing, meal plans, habit coaching, public community, or sales marketplace.

That scope works well when coaching quality depends on the program and the response to training. A broader personal-training platform will fit practices that need the business and lifestyle tools in the same product. Our guide to apps for coaches compares five different approaches.

Pricing

Plans are per workspace, and the owner does not consume a member slot.

  • Free — the owner plus 3 other members. $0.
  • Pro — up to 30 other members. $15/month or $150/year.
  • Studio — up to 500 other members. $100/month or $999/year.

Coaches and athletes both count toward the limit, and each workspace carries its own plan. Athletes never pay for their place on a roster.

Can athletes upload lifting videos?

Yes. Athletes can send photos and videos in the private conversation with their coach. Workout and lift context travels with relevant attachments so the feedback is easier to place.

Can I coach both remote and in-person athletes?

Yes. Remote, hybrid, and in-person athletes can log their prescribed workouts in the same app. Every workout feeds the same program and training history.

Does Cleanpull handle client payments?

No. Workspace billing pays for Cleanpull itself; there is no client invoicing, payout, or coaching-services marketplace.

Can assistant coaches share a roster?

Yes. Coaches can share a workspace and its athletes. Assistant coaches count toward the workspace's member capacity; the owner does not.

Is there a free trial?

The free tier has no time limit and includes the owner plus three other members. You can run a small roster before deciding whether you need more capacity.
